Codigo Cube Review

I honestly can’t say I really liked the game.  I don’t know if it’s because it’s a trivia game that is above my head, or if it’s the electronics aspect of it or what.  I will be honest and say that the game is actually hard for me to write about, due to my distaste for it.  The app is free to interact with the game and there is a QR code on the back of the package so that you can easily find it.
I’m going to just apologize for the length of this review.  I’ve honestly not been able to figure out what to write.  If you are a trivia person, this is probably up your alley.  I’m apparently not.  😀  I’m pretty certain that they will or have updated the app since I played, as I deleted the game pretty quick off of my phone.

Pros:codigo12 different trivia topics
Challenging questions!

difficult time getting the game to work on Samsung S3
Couldn’t get the Pick 6 part of the game to work

Watch Ya’ Mouth: Throwdown + 15% Coupon Code

What a hilarious riot this game is!  Watch Ya’ Mouth Throwdown is sure to bring a ton of laughter to any party!

Watch Ya Mouth Throwdown Edition

If you didn’t guess by the look of the game, this game is seriously hilarious.  I can see this game replacing drinking games in college if people were actually out to have fun rather than drink!  haha.  Seriously, whether you want to have a blast with your kids or your adult friends, this game is for all ages that can truly have fun and, of course, understand the concept of games, haha.

I love the challenges and the insanity of the game and find it absolutely silly!  It will seriously bring out the fun in competitive!  I mean, really, who could possibly not have fun racing to make the most noise, say something ridiculous with a mouth piece in, or trying to be the fastest to drink a glass of water!   The only change I’d make is to use silly straws for the water drinking challenge.  haha

Another awesome selling point is the app that you can get free expansion packs for the game!  Of course, you could also buy some expansion packs, but the app makes it easier for those days where you didn’t realize you would be playing and want to make it a little more fun!  Something to do while waiting for the mail!

For your next Girls Only Night!

Attention ladies!!!

I don’t know about you, but I was never into the club scene and as I get older I am less and less inclined to want to go out to do anything like that.  Anymore, getting home after 9 makes me worry about my kid and my schedule!  I haven’t been on a girls only road trip since before I got married and they just don’t seem to work out anymore!  We are all too busy to go running around the countryside and too tired to drive all night for anything!

I’ve been given the chance to review the game “What’s a Dame to do?!”, a game which will surely give us girls a chance to get together and catch up, as well as laugh.  A.  Lot.  The game is designed for women, definitely not the little ones.  It’s not your typical family board game.  This one is designed to get the girls giggling until they crack up!  Just reading the cards had me laughing, imagining my shy friend blushing and my rowdy friends telling their rowdy responses!

A really great thing is that you can play this with girls you’ve known forever or with girls you’ve only known for a little while!  For those you don’t know that well, this is a great way to get to know them.  My thoughts go to a bit of sarcasm here….  Yeah, you know I’m sharing that one!  It goes around the words “Girl PLEASE, you KNOW you are already trying to predict them!  Might as well do it over a game so you can get real answers to go with your assumption!”  LOL.   Come back soon and we’ll have a giveaway for this awesome game!  In the meantime, go get your girls a copy!  I swear you’ll need one for each house!  You can find them here at just $24.99.  They’ve also got great suggestions for girls night!  So, order yours and come back to win your bestie a copy soon!

Just so you don’t have to go through the instructions, because it’s SO boring I’ve found a youtube video to help you have the instructions and a little lowdown on the game!

You can find the above video, along with others about the game on their website!  There are updated, easier rules there too!  Enjoy!!!

Teen Scavenger Hunt

Hey everyone!  I got to review this awesome game for teens and I must say, I love it!!!  When I was a teenager, I remember my Uncle doing a scavenger hunt to surprise my Aunt with a weekend getaway.  I remember hearing all about it and thinking of how fun it would be!  I always wanted to do one!  So surely it would be as fun now as it looked then!  If you have teenagers, you know how hard it is to keep them entertained!  Well…..  Entertained AND out of trouble!!!  I love this teen scavenger hunt because it will keep them out of trouble, and create some awesome memories!!!

Here’s how it works: You can have up to 5 teams to compete against each other.  Each card has a both truth or dare’s.  The kit comes with invitations, water bottle labels, VIP team badges, car tags, and truth or dare cards for each team.  The challenges are simple, not too rotten but just rotten enough to be fun for teens!  There are complete instructions on how to go about it, so not to much planning left for the grown ups!  I’m thinking about contacting our youth minister to use this as a winter activity to unite our youth!  Nothing like a good set of bonding activities!

This game was created by, ready for it, a MOM!  So, we all know it’s someone in tune with what kids will find entertaining!  She’s also got some others that are looking just as fun!  I know I’ll be going back to her website to get some other scavenger hunt kits!  The ages vary in groups of 3-4, 3-7, 4-10, 6-12, 8+, teens, and even adults!  All good, clean competition fun!  Go and check them out over at Print to Play

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Havin’ a Blast with #Tryology and #Personalogy

Personalogy Game NightYou all know by now, any excuse for me to have a gathering is game on (ha, pun intended).  So when Tryazon gave me the opportunity to try out a new game and host a game night, I jumped on it.  Even with the insanity of some of my busy, flaky friends which honestly mostly was my own last minute flakiness, we managed to have a blast.  The game made it super easy!

For an uncounted amount of hours, 6 adults were enthralled with this hilarious game, Personalogy.  Thought provoking questions quickly bring out all of the sarcasm and humor in even the quietest of persons as they just can’t resist.  We laughed so hard it hurt at the various responses to the questions and the friendly debates it sparks.

So here’s the skinny, every deck has 120 cards with playful, thought provoking questions that will keep you laughing and joking.  There is a Party Edition (which is what we played) and a Family Fun Game made for families.  Whether you are having a party, a group game night, or just to use to spark some super conversations on road trips it makes the time fly by!  Points are optional but my super competitive hubby had to have them, so we played with them.  (I’ll go ahead and brag that I won, haha)  Anyway, you need to check it out.  You won’t be sorry!

Family Game Night with Tabletop #ShuffleBoard

Shuffle Board by CarromShuffleboard is a game that can be played tabletop or on surfaces literally the size of a deck.  While the origins are not known for certain, we do know that the game goes back at least 500 years in Europe.  Prior to receiving this tabletop version, I had only seen shuffle boards roughly the size of a pool table.  In the US, these range from 9 to 22 feet.  The object of the game is to slide your weight against your opponents weight to get the most points without falling off the board.  As one can imagine, originally the game was played on a long table.  Oh, the days of creativity!  If you are interested, there are a ton of articles about the history of Shuffleboard!  It’s fascinating to me!  😀

One thing I love about Carrom’s Tabletop Shuffleboard is that it is made in the USA.  Seems like these days we get most things from other countries, which is fine except that our own economy suffers for it.  Made in the good ole state of Michigan, Carrom makes some fine Quality Family Games!  As their logo promises, the Shuffle Board does seem to be made to last.  Assuming we manage to keep up with the pieces, I believe this will be a game that we play for many many years.  I do wish there was something built in to keep them from getting separated, but I suppose that’s where my craftiness comes in!

If you are looking for something to keep you or the kids busy, this Shuffle Board is a perfect way to do that.  I love the versatility of who could play it.  Since it isn’t incredibly difficult, it can be played by kids, the competitive aspect it brings out in trying to get just the right move will also entertain young adults on up.  In a slight rebellion against my position in life, I could also see this being a good drinking game.  I will admit that I say that with some serious shame.  LOL.  Guess those things get stuff in there and stick it out!  LOL

To get yours and learn about their other awesome products, check out Carrom’s website, facebook and youtube page.

Gaming with Play2Shop

cashGaming, whether you are serious or just a stress relief player, has come so far since the days of Atari and the original Nintendo.  If you had told me in the 80’s that we could one day get rewarded or even paid to play games, I would have been your best friend in the world!  I would also be driving my Mom crazy, as I’d have a better argument as to why I couldn’t stop playing my games!  LOL

Fast forward a few years, and there are many ways to get points and prizes for playing video games.  Not too long ago I came across Play2Shop and I’m becoming a huge fan!  Combining two things I love – playing games and shopping – is genius!  It’s like a dream come true for a kid born in the 80’s!  LOL.  Players have the option of just playing for the pure enjoyment (plus getting rewarded) or playing in tournaments!  I personally am not quite ready for a tournament, but I’m working at it!!!

Getting Points & Shopping

Every time you play a game you get points.  The point amount varies by how often you play and how well you score.  You also get 3 daily spins with which you can win anywhere from 0 points all the way to 1000 points!  Today, just for logging in and spinning I won 2,075 points!  Sweet!

Another cool way to get points is to use their site to take you to where you want to shop.  There are many stores which you not only get up to 10% cash back, but you also get 10 points for every dollar you spend!

There are tournaments for many of the games and they add more and more all the time.  There are first, second and third prizes where one can win various prizes, gift cards or large amounts of points.  Tournaments are only posted for certain amounts of time and have a set entry fee.  Once you enter, you can play repeatedly so that you can get your score higher and higher!

The Nitty Gritty

After signing up for an account, you can play as much as you’d like without ever downloading anything.  Ever.  I love that because so many sites force you to download something which ultimately brings you malware, cookies, etc and slows down your computer.  With Play2Shop, that isn’t a problem.  You’ll never have to download anything.  Signing up enables you to earn your points and you can opt out of emails so that it doesn’t junk up your inbox.

Family Friendly

Something I love about Play2Shop is that it is completely family friendly.  Offensive screen names are removed, along with fictitious accounts.  Since there is no chatting, you can allow the kids to play without worrying about the creepy guy pretending to be a 13 year old girl!  The only catch is that children under 13 are unable to have an account, which honestly do they need one?  Play on one family account and you’ll get more points anyway!  Gaming isn’t all bad, strategy games encourage deep thinking and help with problem solving skills!  Now the trick is to figure out how to get them interested in those.  My suggestion would be to let them see you playing them!  😀  You’ll exercise your brain AND encourage your kids to expand their horizons all at once!
