Hey everyone!!! I don’t know if you’ve checked out where your stuff is made these days, but it is getting rarer and rarer to have any North American labels on things! I rarely see anything made in the USA anymore, and it’s even more of a rarity for me to see anything made in Canada! Today, I’ve got these wonderful little loaf pans to review for you which were made right here in the US by Emerson Creek Pottery! They are made in Bedford, Virginia and each piece is stamped with the company name, location, and year on them!
Emerson Creek has been hand making pottery since 1977 in VA and makes all types of amazing pottery! I was fortunate to be able to review one of their loaf pans and I just loved it!!! It’s dimensions are 3x5x3 and it is the perfect size for making loaves of bread to give to friends for the holidays!
I had never baked in hand made pottery before, so I was a little nervous but it turned out so well! Much better than in a glass loaf pan, if for no other reason than nostalgia alone! Of course, there isn’t any special way to cook in it, but it sure seemed like something special when I was making it! LOL. Nothing like old fashioned, hand made ceramic cookware!!! I really loved the way it turned out and it was super easy to clean!
