Soul on Fire By Skyy Banks Book Review
I was excited to do this review because I love a good book. The synopses tells of a young woman who is getting on her feet, finding herself, defeating her demons. I eagerly jumped into reading this and was quickly spit out of that desire. The book doesn’t even get past the first chapter before the story begins to resemble what I would assume to be softcore pornography. I realize that the sexuality of the character was necessary to establish the demon she is fighting about sex, but I really didn’t feel like it was a needed thing for it to go into such depth. Whatever happened to cliffhangers??? To letting those moments go assumed, so that one’s imagination could skip over them if one so desired?
I couldn’t honestly tell you how the book turned out to be. I couldn’t get past the first few chapters. I kept telling myself I committed to reading it so I had too, but I couldn’t stomach it. Way too much for me. So, I was given the chance to do both a review and giveaway, but for the first time I am going to pass on doing a giveaway for a product. If you want to read it, buy it. I, however, could not finish it.

I’m guessing it’s a bit much for my tastes, but hey, if it’s up someone’s alley, go for it. It sounds like a good concept.
I have never heard of this book before and judging by the review I am not really missing anything. So thank you for your honest review.
