I Can Only Imagine In Theaters Soon!!! Fandago Ticket Giveaway

I Can Only Imagine

The song I Can Only Imagine seems to have gotten so popular that most people have heard it at one time or another, whether on purpose or just hearing it in passing.  They’ve now turned the song into a movie!  In theaters March of 2018, the song so many has come to love will be brought to life on the big screen!  For me, the song makes my heart wish for that time, but I know that I have to wait and do good until then.  All too often I long for the day to meet our Father, but even more so to be reunited with my baby girl.  I’ll be honest and say that since we lost her, I can’t listen to that song (or most) anymore, my heart yearns and aches to a point beyond what I can tolerate and still be able to function.  I suppose that was a pointless side track, but that’s my prerogative.

Back on point, check out the description below.  The film seems to be a lot like many of the Christian movies that have come out in the past few years.  There are only two that stand out to me as different and I highly recommend them: Mom’s Night Out and The War Room.  Perhaps the hometown football story line is up your alley, I know a lot of people who will absolutely love this film.  I’m fairly certain my entire family will be buying tickets in advance to see the film.  Then probably pre-ordering it as well.  Just as the song will grip anyone’s heart strings, the film is sure to do so as well.

As a side note, if you love the song (or just see potential in the lyrics), check out Tamala Mann’s version.  That woman has the most amazing voice and can bring you to your knees and your heart to the feet of Jesus.  She truly has a gift!

I Can Only Imagine

Although he found faith at a young age, life wasn’t easy for Bart. He leaned into an active imagination and his love of music as escapes from a troubled home life. As he grew older, Bart turned to football in hopes of somehow connecting with his abusive father. But a career-ending injury—combined with the vision of a teacher who saw unlimited potential—set Bart on a musical pathway.

Chasing a dream while running from broken relationships with his father and Shannon, his childhood sweetheart, Bart hits the road in an old, decrepit tour bus with his new band MercyMe—named for his grandmother’s favorite expression. With the guidance of a grizzled music-industry insider, the band begins a journey none of them could ever have imagined.

16 Reasons to Shop at Family Christian

16 Reasons To Shop at Family ChristianI have been going to fc stores for years.  One of the biggest things I love about them is that they are a not-for-profit business.  That means that everything over the cost of operation goes to charities.  There are various charities they support, listed below.  They are also a Christian store.  Whether you agree with Christianity or not, the good the company does for not only our society, but others around the world, makes a huge difference in many lives.

There are many great products both in the store and online.  This is gonna sound crazy, but my absolute favorite product that I’ve ever bought at Family Christian is a water bottle that pops open with the push of a button and locks so that it won’t pop open when you don’t want it to!  I went back for a long time trying to find them again and they didn’t have them in stock, but I’ve recently found them on their website so I ordered some extras.  Within two minutes I had the shipment guarantee and the notification that they had received my order.  The water bottles I ordered weren’t in their warehouse, so there was a little notification on the site (before I ordered) letting me know that it may take longer to receive.  I love that they had that easily seen!  They also sent me a guarantee within minutes of my order that covered a lot more than I ordered!

Right now there is an awesome Summer Sale of Buy 1, Get 1 50% off on ALL books, movies, and music for the entire family both online and in store!  The sale will be going on until August 25, 2016.  Also, don’t forget to check out their clearance section.  It’s always got something and is typically fabulous!

When Calls the Heart: Change of Heart

When Calls the Heart Change of HeartYou may or may not have caught the reviews of the first two videos in thee When Calls the Heart series inspired by Janette Oke.  If you didn’t, you can read about them at these links:

When Calls the Heart
When Calls the Heart: Lost and Found

Change of Heart is done just as well as the first two movies.  I’m emphasized before that even if you haven’t seen the first two, you can still thoroughly enjoy any one in the collection at any point in time.  Each film gives a short story update that catches you up to the relevant things presented in the film you are watching.

With sweet innocence and polished sophistication, Change of Heart again brings the pair of sisters together as Elizabeth’s little sister comes for a visit and inevitibly causes a little trouble.  As the viewer, I have frequent moments where I want to scream through the television at Julie, Elizabeth’s little sister, then other times when I have to admit the parts of myself from long ago I could see in her innocence.  The bright, unshakeable knowledge that there is good in all people resounds through Julie.  As an older sister myself, I can also see the pain and annoyance that plagues Elizabeth as she tries unsuccessfully to help her sister make the right decisions.

Don’t feel too bad for the guys though, there is adventure just waiting to get out as the film progresses.  Beyond the sisterly relationship, Elizabeth’s romantic interest Jack the Mounty is mixing things up a little.  It was a great storyline as Jack did what any good mounty would do: followed his instinct to protect the one he loved and Coal Valley regardless of his own safety.

About the Movie

Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Jack s (Daniel Lissing) relationship blossoms into romance in Change of Heart, the fifth installment of the When Calls the Heart series. Finally winning Elizabeth over, Jack is devastated to learn of his Constable reassignment. When Elizabeth s sister, Julie, arrives in Coal Valley with the new Constable, Jack reluctantly tells Elizabeth the news and must leave town. Julie, ever the curious one, stumbles upon a mysterious wounded man and rushes him to Abigail s (Lori Loughlin) for care, unknowingly putting herself, Abigail and Elizabeth in grave danger at the hands of the infamous Tolliver gang. Hearing of their distress, Jack rides back to Coal Valley to save the women in a desperate race against time.
