Me too! Pasta is definitely my friend! Hope you enjoy the fried apples as well, they are the perfect dessert!
]]>I would love to be able to sit with you at our table! As for husband not liking spaghetti, it is odd and I’ve been saying that for years! My spaghetti sauce recipe takes up about half the day, but I bet your Grams’ recipe was better! And yes, we are garlic fanatics!
I love that about your family history! Thank you for sharing! Maybe the key was the freshness in the olive oil and (probably) better quality wine? Who knows, but that’s awesome anyway! I think a lot had to do with older generations working so much harder as well, therefore staying fit!
I do enjoy ground beef more as well, but use turkey because it’s healthier for my husband. (Cholesterol and what not)
Thank you for your kind words and feel free to leave super long comments anytime! I always love ‘chatting’ with you!!!!
I see you added garlic and garlic bread
We usually had bread and a salad or bowl on the side of fresh veggies, olives
Plus the most important thing besides the grated fresh cheese (yum) was the wine
I swear they had wine with every thing! My grams lived to be 99. My dadās fraternal brother is still alive. Heāll be 89 on March 27th. Yet my dad died 33 years ago! I think it was the fresh virgin olive oil, the garlic and wine
Iām sorry that I wrote more than I should have! Your recipes and pictures brought back some happy times with my grams. I would put ground beef instead of the Turkey
though. You could start a fresh food company! I know people would be interested and more than likely start buying your meals!! Thank you for sharing!]]>
