Old Time Candy: Sweet Trip In Time @oldtimecandy

Old Time Candy. Seriously lit up our day! Nothing brings back nostalgia and happy memories like candy from your childhood. Except maybe the toys, but I haven’t found a box for those yet.

Old Time Candy: Sweet Trip In Time @oldtimecandy

Old Time Candy

Old Time Candy is a candy company offering boxes, bags and tubs of your favorite candies but that doesn’t quite make them special. What makes them super special are their Decade Assortment Boxes. These things will blow your mind. Anyone’s mind.

The Decade assortments can be chosen from the the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. You can order a 2 or 4 lb box from your favorite decade or you can choose an all decades box with a selection from every decade they offer! This may be the best gift anyone could give (outside of an organ or life or something).Candy You Ate As A Kid

As an extra bit of fun, you can follow them on social media and see what silly decade stuff they post. I love the fun that they share with everyone.

Old Time Candy: Sweet Trip In Time @oldtimecandy

How Old Time Candy Went Above & Beyond

One of the ‘little’ things I loved when I opened my box was the invoice. I know, that sounds silly, but hear me out. On the invoice, below all of the regular shipping information and such, is a place typed with spaces that hold handwritten initials telling you who picked out your candy and who packed it! It’s easy to discern that the initials are written by different people which tells me that they are a company that truly cares about their clients and candies.

Keeping It Cool

If you live in a hot climate or are ordering during the summer months, they’ve got you covered. They will include an Ice-Brix and include instructions on how to make sure that your candy is at it’s best when you open your treats!

Ordering Your Decade Box

Old Time Candy suggests if you want to order a decade box for yourself or a loved one, order the one from the decade when you or they were around 10 years old. Since I grew up in a very rural area, I ordered the decade before I was born and, as it turned out, that was exactly what I coveted at our little community grocery store! My husband said they were exactly what he grew up on as well.

There was only one thing missing: tootsie pops. As it turns out, those were first made in 1931. The good ones never go out of style I suppose.

I suppose, from my experience, if you are ordering for someone who grew up in a rural area, the guidelines may be a little off. Of course, I think any decade would have been fabulous! It’s seriously a fantastic box of delicious goodies!

Sweet Trip To The 70's @oldtimecandyMy 70’s Candy Box

Okay, my decade box was from the 70’s. It was full, like really full, of candy from the 1970’s. So many things I didn’t realize came out in that decade. I waited to open it when my husband could join in on the fun and it was worth the long, torturous wait for sure.

What could be more fun than opening it to some of our favorite 70’s tunes? We boogied to our vinyl of Ben by Michael Jackson. There’s not a single song on that album that isn’t absolutely amazing! While these were out before we were alive, they still bring back great vibes and made opening the Old Time Candy even more fun!

Opening the box together inspired so much nostalgia and a flood of dopamine as we excitedly exchanged stories from our childhoods. It was a wonderful way to get to bond a little more and it took a rough morning and turned it completely around! The smiles and laughter that came from opening that magic little time machine was absolutely priceless.

In Conclusion

Order a decade box. Whichever one. Whether you want to explore the candies of a new decade or walk down memory lane, you can’t miss out on these fabulous boxes!

These would be great for a date night as well, pick your decade and a few films from that decade, then spend the evening going back in time. Or, skip the films and simply spend hours talking about your best childhood memories.

If that’s Not Enough

I love companies that give back, you may have figured that out by my Mission Belts review, or the review of their kids belts. So, as I was scrolling through their website (mostly because I could spend hours of happiness there), I came to a link to donate to help build wells and such in West Africa.

So far, their customers have donated enough through them to build a well in Sierra Leone. That’s not all they do though, they began this mission to help due to their own personal trip to help there. That is something I love and am truly passionate about: helping and loving others.

One More Thing

As if everything else hasn’t been enough to make this the most groovy box you’ll ever get, they also include an adorable magnet of just their little logo guy! I’m a crazy magnet keeper, so I’m totally psyched by the little bonus! Far Out, Old Time Candy, Far Out!

(See what I did there, are you laughing or eye rolling? Either way, it cracked me up)

The wax bottles and dot candy are the best ones in the 90s box!! I’m an 80s baby but the 90s were definitely the best years!

I love their decade candy. I was amazed at home many candies I forgot about. It’s so much fun to go down memory lane looking through the candy. I would love to get some candy from when I was growing up to let my Grandkids see some of the candies from then. Funny thing is the years when I was younger and growing up cover more than one in my life, the ’50s, ’60s.

I went back and looked at the decades and was surprised at what candy came out when. I remember the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. I would love to get one of these and just sit back and enjoy all the candy you can’t find anymore. My husband is the same age as me, so it would cover both of us. I think it’s great that they offer this service. It would be fun to share with our kids what we ate when we were younger. Thanks so much for the chance.

Old Time Candy has some things I haven’t thought about in years like Wacky Wafers, Whistle Pops, and Bottle Caps. Really brings me back to childhood Halloweens.

I decided to search up the 90’s decade box and I love the candy selections they offer. The top two are the dots and even wax bottles.

I grew up in the 50’s so I like: You’ve just crossed over into, the 1950’s. A time when space became the new frontier, TV showed us the world, music gave birth to rock n’ roll and Pez got ahead with its new dispensers.
    Thanks for the contest.

  • My husband and I would have so much fun with a candy box! I remember saving my nickels and dimes to buy candy at the drugstore downtown.

  • That was a fun trip down memory lane seeing candies that I remember enjoying when I was growing up like Chuckles (those remind me of my grandmother who often had them in her house) and Chunky, Fun Dips and Turkish Taffy.
