Hi Kaycee, I enjoyed reading your article. I do prefer carpet in the bedrooms because it feels more cozy but in the main living areas I prefer hardwoods because of the mess my kids can make. I would love to see photos of the penny and glitter floor you saw on Pinterest, that sounds interesting.

My brother took over 6 months to pick out his ceramic floor tiles. He visited (retired) stores in many cities in WV and in Pittsburgh. Finally picked out the size width of the tiles and the color. My sister in law go do get what ever you want. Between pets, birds and kids he wanted something that would last.

I never dreamed how much there was to choose from. And in the end he picked out some beautiful tiles and hopefully in the next months they will get down on the floor. 🙂

This is such an informative post, thank you so much for sharing! I agree that it is important to have the right flooring for your family. I personally love the warmness of wood, but I still like to have rugs/carpet in certain rooms of the house. My kids love to relax on the living room floor so carpet is best for comfort/coziness!
