Sure Flap: Perfect Pet Door!
Soon we will be posting our remodeling stuff and I thought we would get you ready for it with an early home post! Pets: super important to consider when remodeling. After all, they are the part of our family that won’t get to voice their concerns! Well, at least not with the English (or whatever you may speak) language! I think this one is the cat’s meow! Hehe, pun intended!
Sure Flap is a unique cat door in that it opens for your cat when they approach via their microchip. For you tech people, or those who are married to them, it works on a binary system so it can store up to 32 different codes! Once the codes are there, you don’t have to reprogram it for battery changes or anything. Thus ending the in and out game we all get to play with our pets!
According to the papers they sent me, they are working on doing a small dog door to be released some time this year. The Zoo is looking forward to that one too! Currently, you can get the Sure Flap for $149.99 over at their site! You can get white or brown, they measure 5.59 x 5.39 inches.
It can open door for cat with chip? This is really great because sometimes badgers break in through pet door. 🙂
YES!!! The ID tag has a chip in it that triggers the sensor so it opens for them and closes again when they are away! I love this idea and can’t wait for them to come out with one big enough for our Great Danes!
I’ve always wondered about these but have heard of wildlife entering, as well. I think it would be a great idea, though, to encourage your pets to use the door themselves.
