That’s an awesome story, thank you for sharing! I’m glad you’ve found the perfect friend, sounds like ya’ll rescued each other! I totally agree that the laws need to change! I live in the South as well, Arkansas but I’m from Oklahoma and in both places horrible things happen with no recourse for the humans. It’s terrible. I’d never heard of ‘viewing fees’ but that sounds like a crock of ….. Well, you get it. I hope you’ll share my post and that people will become more and more aware!
]]>My dog is a boxer-pit mix. She was found abandoned in a Florida parking lot, starving and thirsty. My son contacted owner ( she had a chip) They said they did it on purpose cause they didn’t want her. Sorry, but the south has the worst laws EVER. ln the end, after a year with my son who has several rescues, one beat up Holley and he tearfully begged me to take her. OF COURSE! ( He was unsure because I was heartbroken over my dog having to put him down a few years previously. ) all this was two years ago. She is THE BEST DOG I HAVE EVER EVER HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF EVER WELCOMING IN MY HOME!! I am so blessed. Laws need to change.I would love to learn how to get more involved to protect our furry friends. I would also like to shut down places in my area, Connecticut, who charge people ‘ viewing fees’ claim dogs are rescues but they are from puppy mills. After they find out what kind of dog someone would like, they find them in Missouri or somewhere in that area. Then these places charge fees starting at a thousand dollars. No interest in the care of animals, just money. All this needs to stop. I would love to find out how. And I tell EVERYONE about this
movie. Also another story of a dog named Gucci. Rescues are the best!
It really is a touching movie! I definitely recommend it!
