Classic Hardware: A New Vintage Jewelry
When I came across Classic Hardware, I was immediately drawn in. Though not all of it is ‘my style’, there was something about it that called to me. Repeatedly I went back and browsed their selection, trying to figure out what drew me there. Their site is designed very well, but it wasn’t just that. I love the classic style and the vibe it gives off.
They have many pieces that I am fascinated by, that make me smile when I look at them. Of course, with 17 amazing artists, there are bound to be all sorts of pieces that you’ll love too! As a matter of fact, I went back to find the name of the designer for the pieces I received and got distracted. I know I lost at LEAST a half hour checking out the new stuff and re-doing my wish list from their site. LOL.
The owner of the company, and one of the designers, is Karyn Cantor. Checking out her site and seeing the amazing artists she has gathered will give you a deeper appreciation for her artistic eye!
The artist who designed the above images is named Melissa Conteras. She has some great animal pieces, and the proceeds to the particular collection I got go partially to conserve animal wildlife. I thought that was really cool. 😀 Though we all know I love monkeys, the elephant in this design stands out to me for some reason. She is beautiful, as are all the animals. I also love the zebra, as for whatever reason it too seems to call my name.
Both of the above images are from the Endangered Species Collection. If you have a love for animals, you’ll find lots of pieces you have to have! Personally, I don’t buy animal skinned or anything that looks like it just because I don’t want to support even the idea that it’s okay, but the pieces in this collection let me show my love for animals without any implication or representation of harming animals. I think that’s one of the reasons I love this particular collection so much!
The sponsor asked me to point out a site that they support, Born Free USA and I am putting them on my list to support now! Don’t let the name fool ya, they support causes all over the world. I’m particularly pleased that they have a section of Canadian Projects, among other things. I have a very dear friend who is Canadian (as well as a great aunt that lives there now) and my friend has given me a love for her country through her shear passion for it! 😀 (You can check her out at Journeys of the Zoo) Moving on though… LOL. Born Free USA supports some great ways you can help out wildlife, as we all know not all of society is remembering that these beautiful creatures are an invaluable source of so much goodness to the world! Jump over and check them out, perhaps you’ll add them to your list as well!
Getting back to my review, there was really only one thing that I wasn’t quite pleased with. The bracelet is an 8 inch bracelet but due to the design of the pendants, it fits wrists a little smaller than 8 inches. I easily solved that problem with a trip to Hobby Lobby by purchasing a link to add onto the end. It doesn’t take away from the design and now it fits comfortably. Problem solved!
