Veil of Tears

veilA couple of years ago I was given a glimpse into some things that I couldn’t stand. I began learning about some of the terrible things that are still happening to women around the world today. Like sex slavery, forced prostitution, and so many more horrible things. I realized that without the knowledge of what was going on, there was no way I could make a difference. I don’t know that I will ever feel like I make a huge difference, but I do know that I feel better when I am able to at least do something. To begin that journey, one must begin to obtain knowledge about the subject!

From Gospel For Asia

Imagine facing hatred, abandonment, or even death simply because of your gender.

The award-winning documentary, “Veil of Tears,” tells the untold story of millions of women in South Asia who are abused for no other reason than they are women. However, despite centuries of oppression, women once in their shoes are reaching in and bringing everlasting hope.

Meet True Survivors

These are women who have withstood a lifetime of adversity. Take a journey where few dare to venture, through the eyes of these women, and others, who unveil their personal stories of oppression, rejection, tragedy and even triumph. Get a glimpse of the resilience of the human spirit and the hope that has changed the lives of millions like these and is helping change millions more.

Narrated by Grammy-Nominated Recording Artist Natalie Grant, this film was shot on-location across stunning South Asia in some of the most remote tribal villages in the world today. This is a journey where few have gone and few can imagine.

Free Gospel String Magic Lesson

I absolutely love the creative ways out there to teach children!  Check out this Gospel String Magic as a new & unique teaching aide!  You creative people that think of this stuff, hats off to you!  You are amazingly awesome!  I am totally jealous!

Free Gospel Magic

Let the Little Children Come has come up with their very own gospel magic to help share the gospel with children all around the world!  I love that once they learn it, they can share it with their friends as well!  I’m sure we all remember the games done as kids where you make a steeple with your hands.  Though unable to remember how it goes (anyone wanna remind me?), I do remember that it ended with church and tons of people inside church!  A very good indicator of just how well those tools work to help us remember things!

In order to teach, we must have attention and with media being everywhere, it’s almost impossible to get kids to pay attention these days.  Activities such as this one, will help you keep their attention and help to teach them the most important of lessons!

This activity can can help teach lessons to demonstrate:

  • God is Eternal
  • God is the Creator
  • Eternal Life
  • Relationship with God
  • About Heaven
  • Sin and being Tangled in it
  • God sent Jesus to save us
  • Forgiveness

What a fun way to help them understand being tangled up in sin!  I LOVE that part.and can honestly say it’s my favorite lesson of all from this activity!  One could even use different colors of string for various lessons,  This way, once the children think they know the lesson, it can be modified to teach different aspects.  What fun, especially for home school children as a variation on what they are learning for the day!

Absolutely Free Gospel Plane: Get Yours Before they are Gone!

Absolutely Free Gospel Plane: Get Yours Before they are Gone! This gospel plane is absolutely adorable and you can print it out for free!  (Love that as well!) Paper airplanes and fold up notes seem to be an obsession from a young age. I can remember the little boys folding their Sunday school lessons up into paper airplanes before class was even over, which is so funny because to this day it drives me crazy when there are creases in paper.  I would always keep mine perfectly straight. lol

Let the Little Children Come fixed that problem by making a Sunday school lesson that’s is meant to be folded into an airplane!  It both amuses me and speaks to me, I don’t know why I never thought of this whenever I taught Sunday School.  Of course, I taught the younger children so they weren’t making airplanes yet, just balls of paper!

On more than one occasion, I have blogged about how much I love their products, like their Halloween tract, my color Inspiration post,  wordless books, and this Plane is no different!  The paper airplanes are such a great idea and such a wonderful teaching tool!  It also goes beyond teaching the Word and helps to exercise the skill and dexterity with hands that the children are learning as they grow and develop.

I was racking my brain trying to think of lessons that go along with airplanes in the Bible and it occurred to me, one of the best lessons might be about how the bird scouted out the land when Noah was sailing.  Then there are lessons that can be taught about how, from an airplane, it’s difficult to see what’s going on on the land but God can see everything because He is everywhere and knows everything!  I’m equally sure that you can come up with even more lessons to utilize them!  I hope that you’ll come back and share your thoughts and ideas!
