Zombie Plants

Whether it’s through television, storesHalloween or even radio zombies seem to be everywhere. We just can’t get away from them. The conversations that arise, especially with little kids, can be quite entertaining and I must admit I don’t hate them. Loving how little minds get so creative! Thus my excitement for these plants!

The zombie plants are perfect for everyone, for so many reasons! They are entertaining and beautiful, but you can also use them to teach. I’m excited to use them to teach feelings, horticulture, science and reactions! If you missed it, check out our teaching kids science with STEM lab, the Zombie Plant would be a perfect way to use STEM to teach! Mostly though, I’m excited to play with them! We’ll have ours soon and I’ll post lots of photos!

Zombie plants are not Venus Fly Traps, though I’ll admit that’s what I thought of when I saw them initially. However, these are not that difficult. I’ll admit I’ve killed my own back in the day and it did not come back as a zombie plant. It didn’t come back at all actually, but that’s not relevant right now.

So What Makes it a Zombie Plant?

This gorgeous plant plays dead when you touch it! All of the leaves fold up and even the stem sort of lays down. Then, after a few minutes, it comes back to life. Total entertainment! Check out the zombie plant video below!

Isn’t that fun! It makes an absolutely fabulous gift, as not only can it be used to teach children so many things but it will entertain adults as well. Plus, having plants in ones office has a wonderful psychological effect on our mental well being. You can buy the kit or buy the seeds and start them all on your own. These will make awesome stocking stuffers and amazing birthday gifts!

Zombie Party?

They also have Zombie Plant Party Favors! How awesome is that! I know a little boy that is absolutely going to love this plant! He already has a taste for growing things and a love for the gory stuff, so it’s certainly right up his alley.
