Activity Books

Activity books are absolutely fantastic for keeping children occupied and the right ones will also stimulate their minds.

I’ve got 4 activity books that will help teach your children while they have lots of fun with their creativity. Organic learning at it’s best!

Cool Things To Do & Fun Things To Do

Activity Books: Stimulate, Educate & Entertain @CleverbooksUSActivity Books: Stimulate, Educate & Entertain @CleverbooksUSThese two activity books are full of puzzles, mazes and more! There are plenty of great activities, but I can honestly say the ones I love most are the spacial recognition activities!

There are a few where the goal is to place the correct piece of a picture in a very busy image.

Did you know that spacial recognition is a part of the MENSA IQ Test? I feel like this is one of the many areas I’d have failed on! haha

Rainy Day Doodles & Rainy Day Drawings

My favorite thing about these books are the drawing prompts. With the beginning of a picture already done, children are directed to finish with creative directives.

For example, they have an airline window on a plane trip and are supposed to draw that they see outside the window.

These are the perfect activity to stimulate their imaginations and inspire conversation!

Another thing I’m loving in the activity books is the drawing grid. Children are directed to draw only on the vertical and horizontal lines of the grids to create their masterpieces.

As I child I didn’t draw on grids until I started doing cross stitch, so I love that little ones are learning to draw things on grids at such a young age!

Kindergarten, Ages 4-6

These books are marked agest 4 and up, however I can’t imagine the average 4 year old being able to do some of these from the start.

With your help though, I truly feel activities like these will help put them way ahead of the curb!

Personally speaking, I’m not sure I would have come up with such stimulating activities! These activity books are way above average!

It amazes me how different we teach little ones in comparison to twenty and thirty years ago.

Some things also sicken me, like that so many teenagers and young adults can’t spell to save their lives and common sense seems to be on the decline.

Perhaps more activity books such as these will help put those on the decline.

Kaycee

Hi all! My name is Kaycee. I am now learning to navigate life as a single woman. Turns out, it's not all about husband and children. Who knew? So, I'm on a journey of self discovery. I have 5 children, 3 of which are married, 5 2 are in Heaven (my beautiful baby Acadia Reign and my Diva Princess Tara Elizabeth), and 7 grandchildren! Plus, a ton of fabulous nieces and nephews! My educational background is in Psychology and Child Development but my heart is in ministry, crafts, fun, reviews and my website, My Crafty Zoo. Or at least it was, now I'm learning who I really am, beneath all of the busy family life. It's an adventure to be sure. I look forward to continuing to share my life through word and pictures with you and love hearing your feedback! Thank you for taking the time to read and allowing me to share! I look forward to reading your comments!

I try to make it as interesting as possible. My 2 year old granddaughter will learn quickly if she’s interested in something.

  • Our 5 year old grandson just loves books and he is in PreK. He loves sounding out words and recognizes many. He has a huge library of books and is always picking out books to look at or to be read too.

    • I love watching them learn and being all excited about it! One of the many reasons I’m always doing reviews for children’s books! They can never have too many!

  • My nieces love to be busy with activities. We do lots of things outdoors when the weather is good and enjoy indoor activities like play-doh and puzzles. They really enjoy drawing and painting too.

    • Oh, brave woman! The painting always makes me nervous! haha. However, they do consistently prove my nervousness was unnecessary!

    • That’s awesome! You should check out the book ‘Don’t Ever Look Behind Door 34!’. It’s in the Parenting Corner and super cute and funny. Not gonna lie, I even enjoyed reading it on my own!

  • I love the toddler stage! It’s so fun watching them soak up everything! It sounds like you are doing an awesome job helping them learn! I learned so much from my Granny’s!

  • Right now my grandsons are 2 and 18 months. When they visit I do simple things like tell them the color of the blocks & ask them to repeat it pick out the color. Fun counting like how many blocks do you have or just singing the ABCs to them.

    • Such fun ages! I love their little silly things as they are learning the world! I’m also a stock up queen, so I start finding stuff that will still be relevant every chance I get! haha. Never hurts to have a ‘surprise’ waiting for them! I have a dedicated gifts box for those occasions and it keeps me from crazy spending on birthdays and holidays! Enjoy those babies!
