Clever Flaps Colors to Learn

This book. Just pure fun! There’s so much to explore throughout the book. Not gonna lie, I had fun all by myself with the flaps and exploring!

Clever Publishing may be my absolute favorite children’s book company! They manage to put in an astonishing amount of things to learn in so many fun ways! Clever Flaps Colors to Learn is an excellent example!

While the title points to learning colors, that’s barely the tip of what children can learn in this book! Perfect for little ones and toddlers, it’s age range is listed as 0-3. I can see it being a great book for a while longer than that!

There’s nothing like mystery to inspire intrigue! Don’t believe me? Tell your toddler or really any child under seven or eight no about getting into a box in the middle of the room. Don’t seal it. Walk away. They MUST know what is in that box! It’s the most exciting thing about birthdays and Christmas when your young!

Great Book for Toddlers

Overall, there are 65 lift the flaps as the adventure is had learning by doing naming, matching and counting activities! The book and flaps are made of sturdy cardboard and, to be honest, I think it would be difficult for little ones to pull them open (much less out) before they are old enough to do any harm to the book. Well, aside from chewing and slobbers, but that’s just part of the toddler life!

Kaycee

Hi all! My name is Kaycee. I am now learning to navigate life as a single woman. Turns out, it's not all about husband and children. Who knew? So, I'm on a journey of self discovery. I have 5 children, 3 of which are married, 5 2 are in Heaven (my beautiful baby Acadia Reign and my Diva Princess Tara Elizabeth), and 7 grandchildren! Plus, a ton of fabulous nieces and nephews! My educational background is in Psychology and Child Development but my heart is in ministry, crafts, fun, reviews and my website, My Crafty Zoo. Or at least it was, now I'm learning who I really am, beneath all of the busy family life. It's an adventure to be sure. I look forward to continuing to share my life through word and pictures with you and love hearing your feedback! Thank you for taking the time to read and allowing me to share! I look forward to reading your comments!

  • My niece is almost 3 and when we read together, I have her point to the words she is reading as well as the picture in the book related to the word. It helps her understand it better and remember the words.

My granddaughter would enjoy this book. She’s 2 and starting to learn her colors. We make a game out of her finding things that are the same color.

  • My grandson just finished up PreK and every week they learned a new letter and then printed words with the letters. He knew his alphabet early. He recognizes many 2 and 3 letter words now.

This would be perfect for my niece who is training to be a pre-K special needs teacher. They are always looking for resources to get the children engaged.
