Lugz Work Boots: Winner’s Choice Lugz Holiday Giveaway

Lugz Work Boots. Fashion Boots. Functional Boots. Hiking Boots. One thing I love about the weather turning cool, is that it’s time to break out those boots! Toward the end of summer I always get super excited about the upcoming rainy days and cooler weather for just that reason!

We’ve loved Lugz for a while!  They last forever, keep your feet super warm and dry while looking fantastic!  We’ve reviewed a few other styles around here and are still wearing them!  I frequently wear my Mallards and work in my  Thetas!  However, my winter favorite are the statement making Empire High CRs!

My latest favorite are the Dot.com 2.0 for ladies! I get tons of compliments and they are super waterproof and comfy! I know, because I went for an impromptu swim in my koi pond. Poured SO much water out of those shoes!

I’ve written a lot about the fashion side of Lugz boots as you can see so I thought it was time that we review some of their work boots.

The WRONG Work Boots

After I purchased a mid-range priced pair of steel toe boots from a rather large box store, I quickly realized remembered that not all boots are made equally. The particular brand I purchase there, had the steel and one boot’s steal was bent in so that it stabbed into my foot while I was wearing it. Definitely not something 1 wants to wear while they work an 8 plus hour shift. Sure best Sam Walton is proud…. (sarcasm and…. oops….)

Needless to say that pair of boots got returned and I will never again forget that it is very important to be picky about brands and where we shop (and not shop at said big box store).

Work Boot Shopping Reformed

Lugz Work BootsSince I already knew that Lugz were super comfortable, I knew they were the brand to try next. Of course, being honest, I didn’t initially realize that they actually had work boots. I did know that they had fabulous fashionable boots, so I felt like it was worth a shot!

Lugz work boots checked all the boxes. They have the steel toe for foot protection, they are slip resistant AND are comfortable for long wear. To top everything else off, they aren’t super expensive someone is able to afford them when starting a new job.

I got the women’s work boots and they aren’t super high tops like I typically wear but they aren’t super low either, about the height of hiking boots. Being honest, initially I was a little bit disappointed that they weren’t as high as my regular fashion boots. However, after wearing them I am absolutely convinced that they are better than the taller boots I would normally get for work purposes. Fortunately for you, they are no longer selling the shorter version so you won’t have to miss out!

To Slip or Not to Slip Challenge

I tested out Lugz work boots on a greasy floor is it floor at a mechanic shop. I walked around in the areas where customers typically don’t go and had no problems with slippage even as I purposely tried to slide in them. I tried again on another day, that was super rainy and the oily floor was wet. That day it was slick. Not ‘take a step and fall’ slick, but definitely didn’t work as well as they did when the floor was just oily. Makes me wonder how they’d do on a non-oily wet floor. So, if you work in a wet and oily floor location I can’t help ya.

Fat Dog… And Steele Toe Boots

I’m sure many of you have seen pictures of our great Danes on the website or on social medium, they helped out with testing the still toe part of the boots. 188 pounds of great name pouncing on your foot and you feel nothing, that’s pretty great for me. As much as I would love to do a more thorough review I won’t be dropping a 500 pound weight on my foot.

All in all, I highly recommend Lugz work boots and I’m very grateful to once again have the opportunity to review them. For those of you who missed my post about how my honesty caught costs me sponsors, I will add that while I did receive the boots for free, I wasn’t paid. And I will never be a sellout, so hopefully you will trust my honesty.

I really love the Women’s Evergreen Fleece Chukka Boot in black. I like that these are fleece lined and the ghillie lacing system plus they are super cute.

  • Oh, my favorite for sure is the Women’s Tundra Fold Down Boots! They can keep my feet warm, they don’t have a big heel to slip on (I never wear heels) and OMG they are waterproof! The snow is pretty at first, but ugh, it turns into miserable wet slush here soon enough. Waterproof is the only way to go with these winters! Yeah!

  • The black/grey 6″ boot is particularly trendy and serviceable looking. Lugz is such a good brand and these look so comfortable for a “work” shoe.

I live in a very cold state! Sometimes we have lots of snow. Sometimes we have windchills that can cause one to lose their toes! My toes are already cold 🥶 from being a Diabetic. I am a clutz anyway, put some dark ice in front of me and I’ll end up miles away! I am inclined to believe that the WOMEN’S ADORE FUR OXFORD BOOT could be for me!

She already thinks of me as her mama. These boots will be warm and won’t let moisture in to freeze my feet like most shoes and boots do so they are always cold in the wintertime.
