Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

Zoo feed was running low and Christmas is fast approaching, so we decided it was time for cookies! Chief Zoo Keeper decided that he wanted a Cookie Cake. We tried to convince him he didn’t, but we lost. SO, our first bit of ‘Christmas’ Cookies was a yummy cookie cake!!!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake
Ingredients:
1 c butter
½ c sugar
2/3 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 c flour + 4 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
I promised Monkey I’d put this one in because it made her laugh.  The butter was frozen
so we softened it in the microwave and we got a leaking butter hole.  Yep, my Monkey
is a silly Monkey!  She thought it was hilarious!
Beat butter and sugar together.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Mix flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar in a separate bowl.
Add dry ingredients to the batter and mix until well blended.

 Stir in chocolate chips.
Spread dough into a 15 ½ inch round pan.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
* Jeopardy music plays*
While waiting, I was picking on the Monkey!  She wasn’t very dressed up for the cookie
baking, so we I started taking the pictures for you she threatened me if I put pictures up of
her….  I’m posting the pics, she knows it, nothing will happen!  LOL
Ahh, yes, back to that whole baking thing!
 Let cool!
*More Jeopardy Music*
I used a silicone cutting mat to slide the cookie off of the pan because the spatula
was causing the cookie to break!  🙁
*It’s stuck in your head, isn’t it???*
 See:
*Evil laugh*
Slides right off with the mat!
I know they are supposed to be round, but Monkey likes to be different!  You can decorate yours
if you like, Chief Zoo Keeper didn’t want it any sweeter!
(He is a bit of a spoiled sport when it comes to sweets!)
*Enjoy the Jeopardy Music!*
Stop back by tomorrow for a bit of humor. Clearing the kitchen for cookies! Trust me, you’ll wanna laugh at my Monkey! Hope you enjoy your cookies!!! I would love for you to share with me your cookie cake recipe! Any variations from the Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake???

Hi all! My name is Kaycee. I am now learning to navigate life as a single woman. Turns out, it's not all about husband and children. Who knew? So, I'm on a journey of self discovery. My educational background is in Psychology and Child Development but my heart is in ministry, crafts, fun, reviews and my website, My Crafty Zoo. Or at least it was, now I'm learning who I really am, beneath all of the busy family life. It's an adventure to be sure.
