Valentines Day Love Jar In Many Languages
Valentines Day love jar: I made this as a way to tell my husband I love him in a new way. I wanted to be a little extra special, so I told him I love him in every language I could find. Of course, I’m certain I didn’t manage to find every language but there were plenty. Love is such a strange thing, how exactly does one tell someone the depth of their love?

While I am not personally talented in writing poetry, I can do crafty so I made this Valentines Day Love Jar for him. Though I didn’t count them, I think I got the point across. I wanted to tell my husband how much I loved him for Valentine’s Day, so I did, or at least I told him in more languages than I even knew existed!
The craft is completely simple but it gets the point across. I took a glass jar (I use old ones but you can buy them at craft stores if you like or upcycle one!) and used my Cricut machine to cut out little hearts. I then wrote on every heart ‘I Love You’ in a different language and wrote what language it was underneath.
If you don’t have a Cricut and are waiting on yours to come in (because you just purchased yours from my affiliate link above, I’d call that a shameless plug but in reality it’s more an attempt at destitute desperation), you could just get a bag of paper hearts from Dollar Tree or a craft store.
These are a few of the hearts. I used Pink, Red, and White card stock. In order to fit them in the jar, I had to fold the hearts, but it turned out very well. Here is a link so that you can save time from looking up all of the different languages.

I am Cherokee, and that language is not at all on the list. There aren’t a whole lot of Native American tribal languages at all on the list. So, below I am showing you how to write I love you in Cherokee syllabary and how to spell it in English so that your Valentines Day Love Jar can include the language of my people.

This is so special. Thanks for sharing the idea, and especially for sharing the Cherokee with us. There is such a lack, sadly of Native American languages for the non-Native person available. And the idea of the love jar is great not just for Valentines Day. I think it could also be used a a source of praise and love affirmations for a child, on a daily basis.
