Jesus: green eyes? brunette? Check it Out! #JesusGreenEyedBrunette #FlyBy
When Jesus Was a Brown Eyed Brunette by Max Davis is a touching and compelling rendition of how encounters can truly touch someone. It’s a very good reminder that we may not know it, but we may be just the voice God is using to speak to someone at any point in time. I love the way that Max Davis writes in a narrative so that as you read it, you feel like someone is actually speaking the words to you. Some things written need that voice behind them and he does it pretty well. My initial thought of the title was not a positive one as I didn’t quite get how the heck Jesus could have ever been a green eyed brunette. However, reading even the first chapter gives you not only an understanding of the title, but a compelling realization of your own situation. I truly believe this could apply to anyone, anywhere.
About the Book:
When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette weaves heartwarming and miraculous stories of Jesus showing up in ordinary people, revealing that He knows us and is fully present in our everyday circumstances, especially in our difficulties. Those hurting and weary from worn-out religion are longing for a fresh touch from the living Jesus. Best-selling author Max Davis challenges us to do more than simply receive God’s grace—we need to allow grace to soften, change, and shape us. As you read this book you will laugh, cry, and come face-to-face with the living Jesus, much like Davis did, when he found Him living in a green-eyed brunette. As Davis puts it, “Jesus is very much alive today and still does incredible things—sometimes supernatural things—through us!”
