The Art of the Moulin Rouge

This book is absolutely fabulous! Whether you are a long time fan of the Moulin Rouge or only recently discovered it, you’ll enjoy this book. It’s full of over 25 interactive projects inspired by the world-famous venue. There are even 30 postcards you can share with someone you care about!

The book begins with a brief history of Moulin Rouge and some interesting facts that are quite enjoyable. It goes on to teach us a little about mixed media and how we can use it most effectively on the projects throughout the book.

The Art of the Moulin Rouge contains something to do for everyone’s art preference! Color by number, dot to dot puzzles, and coloring pages based on the most famous pieces from Moulin Rouge! On the back of each project is a description of the picture, what it’s based on, the title/author, and the date it originated.

The perforated pages can easily be torn out so that you don’t have to fight the book as you are working on your masterpiece, which is greatly appreciated!

There are also full color posters for you to enjoy! I am seriously considering framing some of them to decorate my walls. Unfortunately, that means I have to pick as they are printed front and back.  Perhaps I’ll frame the pieces I color instead…

Kaycee

Hi all! My name is Kaycee. I am now learning to navigate life as a single woman. Turns out, it's not all about husband and children. Who knew? So, I'm on a journey of self discovery. I have 5 children, 3 of which are married, 5 2 are in Heaven (my beautiful baby Acadia Reign and my Diva Princess Tara Elizabeth), and 7 grandchildren! Plus, a ton of fabulous nieces and nephews! My educational background is in Psychology and Child Development but my heart is in ministry, crafts, fun, reviews and my website, My Crafty Zoo. Or at least it was, now I'm learning who I really am, beneath all of the busy family life. It's an adventure to be sure. I look forward to continuing to share my life through word and pictures with you and love hearing your feedback! Thank you for taking the time to read and allowing me to share! I look forward to reading your comments!

  • Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on sites I stumbleupon on a daily basis. It will always be interesting to read through articles from other authors and use something from their web sites.

Moulin Rouge always makes me think of Toulouse Lautrec and his paintings. This book sounds really interesting.
