Hummingbird Food Recipe Sponsored by Perky Pet Feeders

Hummingbird Feeder & Hummingbird Food RecipeIf you were able to catch my review of the Squirrel Proof Feeder, then you already know all about why I love watching the birds.  So many wonderful memories of sitting on my Granny’s lap and watching them come and eat, play and even nest!  I love thinking about those times and seeing the birds come to my feeders brings a smile to my heart every time.  Though cardinals were my Granny’s favorite, on occasion we had a hummingbird or two visit.  Hummingbirds were special because they didn’t come often and they brought new colors to her front yard.  Her house was way out in the country so there were no other feeders close to bring more.

Not too long ago, I purchased a recipe box at an estate sale.  It was packed full of recipes and a beautiful vintage box circa 1960’s I think.  It was filled with magazine recipe cutouts, recipe cards from a bank that no longer exists in our area and (my favorite) handwritten recipes.  One of those handwritten recipes was one for Hummingbird food.  So, when I received the Perky-Pet Red Hobnail Vintage Hummingbird feeder I was understandably stoked for so many reasons!  Of course, I had to share it all with you!

Kaycee

Hi all! My name is Kaycee. I am now learning to navigate life as a single woman. Turns out, it's not all about husband and children. Who knew? So, I'm on a journey of self discovery. I have 5 children, 3 of which are married, 5 2 are in Heaven (my beautiful baby Acadia Reign and my Diva Princess Tara Elizabeth), and 7 grandchildren! Plus, a ton of fabulous nieces and nephews! My educational background is in Psychology and Child Development but my heart is in ministry, crafts, fun, reviews and my website, My Crafty Zoo. Or at least it was, now I'm learning who I really am, beneath all of the busy family life. It's an adventure to be sure. I look forward to continuing to share my life through word and pictures with you and love hearing your feedback! Thank you for taking the time to read and allowing me to share! I look forward to reading your comments!
