Before summer is officially over, I thought I’d share this amazing recipe with you! When I was a kid my Mom would buy Welch’s all fruit popsicles as a special treat from time to time. This recipe tastes JUST like them. First bite took me back years! A quick check in the mirror revealed it was only in my head though.
The Popsicle molds pictured are IceWabanga Fill and Freeze Ice Pop Molds. There are many reasons I’m loving these! We’ll start with the thing I look for first: they are dishwasher safe! I have plenty of items that can’t go in the dishwasher so I like to have the option of popping them in if I’m busy or have a houseful. I also love that you can take each Mold out of the holder one at a time, so you don’t have to run water over the all the popsicles to get one out, you can make just a couple of ice pops if you like and you can wash them as you use them as opposed to having the top part ready to wash and waiting for the bottom. I’m always worries about losing them!
They also came with a bonus of 2 silicone ice pop molds. I think these are going to be great for a push pop type popsicle! If you are on the market or just hate your current ones, you should definitely check these out. There aren’t a ton of products like these that I feel like I must have, but these are on that list!
Now, on to the recipe!
4 cups chopped, hulled strawberries
3 Tbsp corn syrup
3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
Puree in blender or food processor all ingredients.
Pour into molds, you don’t need to leave much space as this particular recipe does not expand when it freezes.
Freeze until frozen (like you would have never thought that was next! LOL)
Initially, I was over the moon for these vacuum storage bags. They seemed to work perfectly and I was thinking I’d need a ton more so I could condense so many blankets and clothing. After a little while, I looked in the top of the closet where I had placed one of the suctioned bags and realized that one of the bags had began to gain a little bit of air. I think perhaps a little thicker plastic would make these perfect. I do love the simplicity and my old vacuum suctioned it closed very well. I think these are great for short term storage but I suspect that if you want something sealed for years then a thicker bag would be better. These are perfect for dorms though! I think my niece needs a couple to keep her closet from being packed! Using them is easy and only takes a minute or so.
I don’t know about you, but waiting for my phone to charge when I want to do something is the absolute worst for me! I have very little patience, and while I recognize fully that patience is a very good trait I don’t seem to have gotten it down yet. I’m a work in progress, my patience has improved but is not yet perfected. That being said, any product that lessens my need for patience is a friend to me. Speed chargers are the bomb, I love them. I love that in half (or sometimes less) of the time I can have my phone or device back up and running. Doesn’t matter if I don’t need it, it matters if I can’t have it. LOL. I know, another problem I have is being a spoiled brat. Keep your judgements to yourself please. haha.
I recently got to try out the Custom USB Depot Turbo Charger. It has a switch on the side so that it will work with either Android or Apple devices so that is fabulous. At the Zoo, we prefer multi-tasking tools! I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and due probably to both the age and the amount of things I had downloaded, it goes dead a lot and takes what I feel like is an eternity to charge. The Turbo Charger plugs into my existing wall charger as a USB portal and sped up the charging process by about half the time. This is awesome! Since I’ve had the charger, I gave in and updated my phone. I purchased a Samsung Note 5 which comes with a turbo charger. However, I use my USB Depot Turbo Charger with an old USB cable on my computer so I have been using the Turbo Charger on it and it works great here too!
The charger comes in a silicone case that you can attach to your key chain. Now let’s all take a moment an acknowledge my awesome keychains, I just got the stone sea turtle and I am always a supporter of speaking out against domestic violence. I also have a charm keeper on it, but I couldn’t figure out how to get that in there too. LOL. I’m a little in love with my keychains. Anyway, having the USB Turbo Charger on my keychain is awesome for many reasons, but my favorite is that it makes it easy to keep up with. No matter where I go, I have it and since it is super light it doesn’t make much difference in weight on my key chain. Even if I don’t have the USB device in the case, it’s not a pain to have on my key chain. Overall, I really enjoy the speed and convenience that the Custom USB Charger has brought. Easy, lightweight, convenient. All a busy woman’s friend!
With my constant desire to not spend money and the love for the savings account growing, paying a monthly fee for cable is out of the question. If you do the math, it comes out to $2.50 a month for one year. The signal and channels will last for much longer than that! The cable it comes with is 12 feet, so wherever your television sits, you can easily find a great place to put it! I love that the amplifier is detachable and that there is a stand! If you are trying to save money or just wanna get rid of that cable or satellite bill, check it out! Get yours on Amazon here.
Here are the details:
65 Miles Range | Receive free digital broadcast High Definition TV signals

After a few weeks, I can’t seem to get it to pick up channels even though there is a tower less than 5 miles from my home. I don’t know if I’m too close or it just doesn’t work, but I do not suggest purchasing this antenna. I apologize for having given it a good review in the first place.
Laundry can be a brutal pain. Especially if you are hard on your clothes like I am. I don’t think about how I’m treating my clothes until I can’t get a stain out or the color fades. Then I’m generally pretty aggravated. With the tons of laundry I already have to do, stain removing is an extra step that I don’t enjoy adding. I’m loving the new Purex with Clorox 2 Stain Fighting Enzymes.
Here’s what I love: it works to keep stains from happening and without additional work, it removes starchy stains, protein based stains and food stains. This covers chocolate, tomato sauce, grass, blood, ice bream, BBQ sauce and more. If it’s a particularly tough stain, you can even use it to pre-treat your clothing before wash. No need for an additional products, which is great! a Rafflecopter giveaway

Kitchen Knives are essential to any well stocked kitchen. A dull knife won’t cut things properly and are more likely to cause accidents! I’ve encountered that on more than one occasion and it’s not fun!
We’ve recently had the pleasure of reviewing the Sabatier Forged Stainless Steele Knife with EdgeKeeper. We’ve got a ton of knives, but really feel like we can never have too many. haha. This is why we have the magnetic knife strip on the wall, we have a second but haven’t gotten it up yet. As you can see from the picture, it’s time! If you don’t have one, I highly recommend them as they keep your knives from harm and can be kept high enough that the kids can’t reach!
Sabatier Edge Keeper Knives
I was crazy about the idea of the knife case having a built in sharpener, as so many people tend to toss the knives in a drawer or run them through the dishwasher, causing them to become dull pretty quickly. I’ve known quite a few people who are guilty of this one! Personally, we have a Rada knife sharpener that has been absolutely spot on for sharpening knives for years!
Chief and I both tried the knives out and had different opinions. We also have very different cooking styles. He leans more toward a pseudo professional chef and I’m an Okie cook. My dear, sweet husband isn’t a fan of not using his own sharpener, but he did succumb to my convincing after a bit! Since he was actively cooking he didn’t figure out how to place the knives in without causing damage, but we did learn that if you apply pressure at the wrong times it will cause slight gauges to the knife. I fixed them by learning how to do it correctly….
While Chief ZooKeeper may not have enjoyed the knives I had a better result. When I used it, the knife sharpener worked just fine. I found that when you put the knife in or pull it out of it’s sheaf, don’t press it onto the sharpener but instead do it at an even level. Don’t worry, while you are learning the curve it has a limited lifetime warranty!
Overall, I think these are pretty good knives! And for those who haven’t yet found their favorites, this may be the knives that they end up loving the most! I have come to believe that a kitchen knife is quite similar to a pocket knife, everyone has to find their own favorite!
Being a blogger means making food pretty. It isn’t always easy, as a matter of fact, it can be quite a challenge. Not only do we need to be able to take gorgeous pictures, we also need to be able to make the beauty of our subject look great and food isn’t always easy. Food photographers get paid very well to do what they do, they also use techniques for it which means you can’t necessarily actually EAT what is in the pictures. I assure you, every single picture of food that I take is promptly eaten.
Brieftons Vertico Spiralizer is made to, basically, cut fresh veggies and fruits into spirals. They can be either big or small, depending on how you choose to use it. I have plans to use mine for some dinner parties and this summer I will be making some amazing and gorgeous salads. However, this week is kind of slow and I didn’t have any fancy food to test it out on. I still have to eat though and when I went to get an apple to snack on, I realized it was the perfect test object. It if looked terrible, I wasn’t depending on it for garnishment on food for guests. Fortunately, it looked gorgeous. In order to prepare the apple, all I did was washed it. I personally dislike biting into an unsliced apple (unless it’s covered in caramel, haha) so ‘spiralizing’ my apple was a win-win scenario.
Putting the Vertico Spiralizer together was quick and easy, taking only a minute or two. I was able to figure it out without any instructions, though Brieftons does have a youtube video demonstrating how to do it on youtube and on their site. Cleanup was also a breeze, a good rinse got the left behind fruit out of the blades and it is top rack dishwasher safe. Have I said how much I love my dishwasher? LOL. There was a little bit of pressure required to keep the slice going once I got to the middle of the apple, but it wasn’t very difficult. There are grips on the bottom that holds it in place as you operate it. I was able to get 2 out of 3 suction cups and they did well to hold it in place.
There are only two things I would change about the Vertico Spiralizer. The first is the ability to add pressure. While it was easy to modify the way I turned the crank, I would really have loved for there to be a little more weight to the crank so that perhaps the additional pressure wouldn’t have been necessary. The other thing that I would have loved is if their slicer would better double as a mandolin. While it probably is possible to use the blade on the bottom as a make shift mandolin, the top rack gets in the way of really using it much. Plus, that particular blade is not very long.
All in all, the spiralizer is a really good and fun product. The company sends you 3 virtual recipe books that contains recipes to use with it. One of which is a raw foods recipe book. While I, personally, haven’t ventured into the raw foods arena some of the recipes sound really good and I may eventually try them out. Right now, I plan on using it for gorgeous garnishes and to play with during meals. I’m looking forward to seeing what I can do with it. I know it is going to make some beautiful chocolate spirals for cakes and cupcakes. Bring on the sweets, baby!
Grip it Plasterboard TV Kit is perfect for mounting televisions safely on drywall. No more worries about anything falling or not finding a stud!
If you are like me and stink at finding studs or are just terrified you’ll be mistaken, this may be exactly what you are looking for! The fear of a television falling is real, especially if you have small children (or just really love your super expensive TV)! The Grip It is here to eliminate that problem!
A Funny Story
Funny story I’ll happily share with you. I wanted to hand a towel rack over the toilet in our bathroom. We wanted a giant shower, so we gave up everything else, including storage space. Anyway, I hung the shelf up, it looked perfect just like I knew it would.
Then one day, as my husband is indisposed, it fell. Yep. Whatever you just imagined happened. It was stacked with towels and he was not in a position to catch.
When I say I’m bad at finding studs, that’s real. And for the record, even thoughI’m supposed to be sympathetic I’m laughing as I type the story. Seriously, tears!
Let that be a lesson to those of you who are capable of these things but refuse to do them for your spouse or friend. You could be the next one underneath…

Latest Bedding Home Decor
Latest Bedding Home Decor made such a drastic difference in our bedroom décor! I can’t say enough about how much I love the Cruz 3 Piece Reversible Quilt Set that I got from them! Not only is it the perfect weight (it’s a light comforter), it also is so gorgeous that it completely changed the look and feel of our bedroom!
Our beach themed bedroom needed a pick me up. I searched forever for a comforter I could afford (or was willing to pay) to find a set for our bedroom and ended up giving up and settling. I hate the one I settled for. It didn’t make the statement I wanted.
Enter the Cruz Collection! It completely set the vibe I was going for in our room. The master bedroom is our Oasis. It needed to be a place we could relax and feel at peace. This is the sole reason we chose a beach theme! We even had an outdoor porch light installed to make the feel more realistic. We wanted to feel like we were on a beach, or as close as we could get to it!
The Cruz set really brought the room together. It also brightened it up quite a bit! If you are in the market to fix up your beach bedroom, this is definitely one to consider. They also have a lot of other designs, especially quilt sets! I love their rustic bedding collection as well!
In addition to bedding, they have a fabulous collection of other home décor! I’m definitely going to be updating my bathroom from their collection of shower curtains and bathroom décor next! Latest Bedding Home Decor has knocked having a great selection out of the park!
When you are ready to liven up your décor, keep Latest Bedding Home Decor on your list. You’ll be glad you pinned this!
Eggs are probably one of the most popular breakfast item in history. If you are from the country (or somewhere close) you can probably even find fresh eggs locally. When I was young, my Great Grandfather owned chicken houses and I remember riding through collecting eggs as a child. Nothing reeks quite as bad as a chicken house, but those eggs fresh are fabulous.
As an adult, having the time to cook eggs for breakfast has taken a distant back seat to needing to get my coffee fix. Becoming a mother will reduce that even further. Though as a mother, it is also very important that I maintain begin (let’s just be honest) good nutrition. I am excited that the Eggtastic is going to help me with that, I can have an omelet in less than 3 minutes! That is fabulous! So I know there is a fun little infomercial that we are all super excited to see, but we also know that those infomercials don’t often give the results they are intended to. Let’s face it, they call it TV magic for a reason! However, after having had the pleasure of trying it out, I’m actually convinced. While my omelet didn’t turn out as pretty as the ones on the video, it tasted fabulous. I made mine with homemade salsa and I definitely plan to do so again! In literally a minute and a half, I had breakfast while my coffee was still brewing!
