Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 3 #GalaxyBuck Review #FlyBy

Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector Three! My Thoughts:

What an adorable film for the little ones!  From the creator of VeggieTales Phil Vischer comes Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9!  It is an adorable little film with an all puppet cast who embark on quite an adventure and learn some very valuable lessons!  Vischer teaches some very special things about God’s love and purpose for our lives and my favorite thing he teaches with this film is that we can all do something for God, even if we aren’t super heroes because God loves us.  He even tells us how to know if we are doing that.  Myself and many other adults I know could certainly benefit from this little reminder!

Kids will enjoy Buck Denver’s latest adventure with his friends from What’s In the Bible? and parents will appreciate the humorous nods to Star Wars and Star Trek.  Galaxy Buck communicates important Biblical truths that will add to everyone’s faith foundation, whether a life-long Christian or a new creation in Christ.

About the movie:
Buck Denver has a simple dream – to save the galaxy.  Working for the Galactic Mission Board, Buck dreams of carrying God’s love to every corner of the Milky Way!  Except he doesn’t have a starship.  Or a crew.  Or even a captain’s license.  He just needs a chance.  But when that chance comes and Buck finds himself leading a real mission into deep space, things don’t go at ALL like he imagined!  If he’s doing what God wants him to do, why is everything going wrong?  From VeggieTales® and What’s in the Bible? creator Phil Vischer, Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 is a wild, galactic adventure that teaches kids a powerful lesson about trusting God with everything – even our dreams!

Iesodo Children’s DVD’s

Iesodo DVD Review & Giveaway Ends May 20th USWhen I was a kid, I remember watching animation like this at my Granny’s house.  Although I doubt the animation was nearly as advanced, the quality and message were similar.  The joy and lessons I took from them will never fade and I have wondered as an adult if children were getting these types of messages today.  I’m glad to see that they are and hope these types of animated cartoons become increasingly popular.

Iesodo (pronounced Yay-Sa-Doe) is an adorable series that helps to teach children about the Way.  Adorable little birds tell stories, sing and teach meaningful lessons.  The stories are realistic, touching and have moments that made even the grown up in me giggle.  The songs, of course, are fun and full of smiles too.  There is something special about songs that warm our hearts and seek to give happiness.

“FAITH” RELEASING MARCH 18th

A beautifully crafted animated series to help teach children the Way of Jesus

Los Angeles, California- Iesodo (YAY-sa-doe) is a highly acclaimed
Telly and Accolade Award winning series featuring a cast of animated
birds who live in a Cypress Tree on the shores of Galilee.  Presented
with cutting edge imagery, Iesodo, which means “The way of Jesus”, is
a wise and gentle dove that gives an allegory to the stories and
messages of Jesus with “solid biblical teaching.”
(American Family Journal). With each and every story, he and his
lovable feathered friends “present the essence of the Gospel of Jesus
Christ in a winsome, compelling way” through music and adventure
(MovieGuide.org).

Zaya Toonz and Rollman Entertainment, the animation companies behind Iesodo,
assembled a collaboration of experts with experience in both the children’s
and Christian markets.

“Children learn and sometimes even emulate the actions and personalities of loveable animated characters such as Bugs Bunny or Mickey Mouse, and we want them to do the same with Iesodo,” said executive producers Jared and Natalie Hankins. “The Iesodo character is a representation of Jesus, and the stories shared throughout each episode are based on Jesus’ teachings.  They are universal principles we hope all parents wants to instill in their children, such as loving one another, conquering fear, sharing and being kind.”

Directors for the series include Brian E. Ray whose credits consist of Muppet Babies, My Little Pony Tales and Ed, Ed, and Eddy, as well as Colin Brady, whose credits include Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and A Bug’s Life. Brady also served as the former animation supervisor for Pixar Animation Studios. Producer Eric S. Rollman, President/CEO of Rollman Entertainment, formerly served as President of Production for Fox Kids and Marvel, and writer/producer Rob Loos is an Emmy Nominee and writer/producer for McGee and Me! Christmas Lamb, Kids 10 Commandments and Touched by an Angel. The Iesodo series also features the voice of Erin Bethea (Fireproof, Amazing Love) as Maggie.

Capitol Christian Distribution, the market leader in Christian and Gospel music distribution, as well as chart topping Christian films and books, distributes the Iesodo DVD series, which can be purchased at Christian retail stores, Walmart and Amazon.com. The Promise DVD

promise-coverGrowing up a child of many Christians, I have seen and heard many stories about the Birth of the Messiah.  There isn’t a whole lot of variation, so I had no expectation for this one to be very different.  I was, however, pleasantly surprised at how the story was told differently.  The Promise told the beautiful story differently than I’ve ever heard it before and did it so very well!  I love the way they told the story, starting with when Mary and Joseph were getting to know each other.  Not an aspect I had ever really thought about before, much less seen played out!  The movie is full of  cute little songs that make one want to sign along and I love that the story is told so beautifully.  Especially the funny bits that are thrown in via the animation.  Just enough to keep the kids attention but not so much that it would take away from God’s story.  Overall, I feel like the Promise is a wonderful telling of the great story and if you like musicals, or just have children, you’ll want to add this to your movie collection.  I feel like it will become a classic, one we must watch every year to remind us of the True meaning of Christmas.
ABOUT THE PROMISE
The Promise: The Birth of the Messiah is an animated musical celebration of one of the most pivotal events in all human history, the birth of Jesus Christ.
This beautifully crafted musical is a faithful adaptation of the birth narrative from the Gospel of Luke in both story and song. The animated production leverages optical motion technology to blend traditional animation techniques with the performance talents of ballet dancers and dramatic stage actors. The result is a unique and worshipful story experience that will inspire audiences young and old for years to come.

Mymo’s Adventures Review

My Awkward yet Entertaining Intro

I have to say, the part I hate the most is starting the post.  I dread it.  I really do.  They always end up starting the same: ‘hello everyone’ ‘hey everyone’ etc.  It gets old writing it, surely you get tired of hearing the same greeting and beginning, assuming you read them.  You do, right?  You read them?  If for no other reason than to humor me???  LOL.  Of course you do, I couldn’t bear imagining otherwise!  😛  Well, on with it.  I’ve successfully skipped the boring, stereotypical review introduction.  Let’s call this experiment a success and move on!  😀  I’m going to note here that I’m very pleased with myself.

My Thoughts on Mymo’s Adventures
Have you heard of My Gym’s Mymo’s Adventures?  It is an adorable video to help you get your little ones exercising.  Utilizing puppets, animation and other kids your kids will get a great workout.  This works for you on two levels: 1. they get exercise and 2. they get some of that amazing energy out of their little systems!  It’s the next best thing to them sharing it!  LOL.  Through six great chapters your kids will be encouraged to get their bodies moving and their imaginations rolling.
There are fun little workouts where they teach the kids to do various exercises in a fun and very imaginative way.  I haven’t seen anything quite like it.  There are also fun little game segments and some parts that help the kids take trips in their little minds all from the safety of your livingroom using household things to encourage their creative growth such as a laundry basket boat with a broom oar!  I love that!  All the while, they are staying active physically and mentally without tearing down the house!
A little more about My Gym
My Gym opened in 1983 leading fitness for children in over 260 locations worldwide including US, Canada, China, France, Brazil and others.  They help children from 6 weeks old to 13 years old develop the necessary skills to become healthy young adults.  They even have a My Gym show called ‘My Gym at Home’ that airs on BabyFirst TV so you can get a taste of their workouts.  I really think the little ones will enjoy it!

Veggie Tales: The Little House That Stood DVD Review

VeggieTalesVeggie Tales has done yet another awesome movie with The Little House That Stood.  Spinning off of the classic Grimm’s Tale ‘The Three Little Pigs’, The Little House That Stood is an adorable film.  It’s enough of a story change to leave even the grown ups entertained!  Well, at least it kept me entertained!  The songs are, as always, super adorable and leaves you singing along in a good mood!  I am still overwhelmingly loving the lessons that Veggie Tales instills in our children!  There are, of course, new lessons to be learned in this video too!
About The Little House That Stood
When the Three Little Pigs roll into Cabbageville looking to build some new houses, they meet one builder with a plan and two without a clue! Larry builds with hay, Mr. Lunt with bricks, but only Bob builds his houses on a firm foundation – following the wise plans from the Master Builder’s Handbook! Will the Little Piggies make the right choices when it comes to building their houses – and their lives – on solid ground? Find out in this parable that shows kids when they follow God’s blueprints, then can stand strong when the storms come!

Will your kids eat their veggies?…Copy-Kids DVD Review

Will your kids eat their veggies?...Copy-Kids DVD Review

Hey Everyone! SO, lately I’ve been keeping my friends little Monkeys. So, our Zoo is now full of Monkeys! C is 4 years old and L is 2! Lord, are we ever busy! I’m so use to my teen, dealing with the occasional issue, that I’m a little off my game! One thing that drives me nuts is picky eaters, but aren’t they all!?! LOL. It’s all good though, I’ve found that if I don’t say the name of something, they seem to like it better. Another thing I’ve found, is this DVD. Copy-Kids is just what it sounds like: a video to get kids to copy! It features some very adorable little Monkeys eating veggies and giggling. L informed me that two of them were her best friends! LOL. Such adorable little ones! Anyway, back to the video. It is divided into 12 chapters, featuring various fruits and veggies. The concept is basically re-enforcing eating healthy foods by our little ones watching other kids eating them. I will admit that at snack time, as her choice argument, Monkey told L that ‘her best friend liked carrots’ to which L said she liked them too! Funny how that worked out, but then that’s why they came up with it! Personally, my favorite chapter was bell peppers. Man those kids were enjoying them! 😀 Another little cool feature, aside from getting the Monkeys to eat their fruits and veggies, is that they have this little bird that flies through the screen every now and again, tweeting. The tweeting tends to get the attention of the kids again when they get distracted. Personally, I think that it would be really great to break them up and then let the kids try that fruit or veggie! C & L enjoyed the movie, declaring and wanting various veggies! You can get your copy of Copy Kids here.

Will your kids eat their veggies?...Copy-Kids DVD ReviewThe DVD runs about $19.95. Personally, if it gets the Monkeys to eat, want, and ask for as well!!! Go and get yours today! Go, get yours. Help the nutrition your little one will eat! Another link to their site. You can watch a sneak peak!
