Exciting Free Math Games for Epic Learning Adventures
This site has exciting free math games to help any level of math you need! Basic math, algebra, geometry, graphing, calculus, scientific and even useful ‘life math are all covered on this fantastic site!
I am always the first to admit that math is not my game. Life math I can do: bills, sales, interest and so forth. Basic math: no problem. Go any higher and my panic sets in like you wouldn’t believe. There’s a legit psychological reason for that, but we won’t go into that today.
What we will go into, is this fantastic site that makes learning easy with their exciting free math games and calculators for almost everything! Had they been around, I feel like I not only would have learned so much better when I was young but by the time I made it to college, it would have been a breeze!
Calculators.org has a free online arcade that will not only entertain but build and help hone those skills. Plus, they are more painless than ever before with these awesome free math games!
There are far too many games to mention individually (and lets face it, you wouldn’t be interested in reading the list anyway) so I’ll list the categories of free games for you and some brief important information that you’ll be glad to know.
Things to Know
Games are rated by difficulty with stars, from 1 star to 10. Obviously, we want to challenge the kids without being so difficult that they can’t learn.
There are games for all levels of education, from kids to adults.
There are various types of games, from word games to games that look very similar to cell phone app games. All, of course, are educational and seem to be addressing the psychological side of their target players.
Types of Free Math Games
- Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division Games.
Admittedly, one of my favorites is the Grocery Cashier. I feel like it’s such an important thing to teach our kids to manage their money and this game helps them learn how to make change. If you’ve been to stores in the last 5 years, you have probably noticed at some point that this skill seems to be lacking quite often in younger generations.
That said, there are games for even the younger elementary aged children all the way up to higher levels.
- Logic-based Math Games
- Puzzle Games
- Word-related Games: Typing Games, Word Search Games (Multilingual games available!), Crosswords and Word Puzzles
As if providing all of these free math games weren’t enough, the site even has free calculators set to help with health math (hello nursing and pre-med students!), savings, loans, debt and business math.
It’s certainly enjoyable (and a little painful) to calculate my debt payoff. One day, we will be debt free. Prayerfully!
In the meantime, check out the games at Calculators.org and enjoy their fantastic free math games and calculators!
