NAAT Brazilian Keratin Review

It’s a little weird posting a picture of your hair, I’m not going to lie.  It also made me realize I desperately need a hair cut and more up to date style.  Monkey said my hair looked like a lion’s mane.  If only I could get that child to know when to shut up!  LOL.  Anyway, my terrible style is not what I’m here to discuss.
Product Description

Everyday Moisture that Reduces Volume & Frizz

NAAT Brazilian Keratin collection restores and intensifies your hair’s nutritional balance, leaving it incredibly smooth, strong and flexible. Unlike typical animal-based keratins, our exclusive Green Keratin formula stays in your hair longer and is more resistant to rinsing. Promotes vibrancy and hydration, giving hair a natural, healthy shine. Products include: Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Mask, Leave-In, and Serum.
My Thoughts
To be completely honest, I really loved how soft it made my hair feel!  I would say I wish you could feel it, but then I pictured random people reaching through their computers and touching my hair and got a little creeped out.  LOL.  Anyway, I used the shampoo and conditioner from the collection for a while, exclusively, so that I could see if it made a difference and it did.  I agree with what the company says in their description.  You know how when you wash your hair with shampoo it feels kind of icky right after the shampoo is rinsed, like you REALLY need conditioner?  Well, there is a reason for that!  Shampoo strips our hair of natural oils and gives it that rough feeling.  Then we put conditioner on to restore some of the moisture we’ve stripped.  Problem is, you never can get all the natural moisture back.  This collection doesn’t strip your hair of those natural oils, it only cleans it!  My hair felt softer and was shinier when I was using Brazilian Keratin!
Conclusion
Oooh, doesn’t that make it sound so official?  LOL.  I really liked the way NAAT Brazilian Keratin made my hair feel.  The company didn’t give us any links as to where to buy it but I was able to find it on both amazon and ebay if you are interested.  Given the sites I found it on, the cost varies too much for me to give you a definite cost range, but I do know that it is pricier than most products you’d find on the shelf.  Unfortunately, it’s a bit out of my budget.  If it weren’t, it would be worth it!

Mymo’s Adventures Review

My Awkward yet Entertaining Intro

I have to say, the part I hate the most is starting the post.  I dread it.  I really do.  They always end up starting the same: ‘hello everyone’ ‘hey everyone’ etc.  It gets old writing it, surely you get tired of hearing the same greeting and beginning, assuming you read them.  You do, right?  You read them?  If for no other reason than to humor me???  LOL.  Of course you do, I couldn’t bear imagining otherwise!  😛  Well, on with it.  I’ve successfully skipped the boring, stereotypical review introduction.  Let’s call this experiment a success and move on!  😀  I’m going to note here that I’m very pleased with myself.

My Thoughts on Mymo’s Adventures
Have you heard of My Gym’s Mymo’s Adventures?  It is an adorable video to help you get your little ones exercising.  Utilizing puppets, animation and other kids your kids will get a great workout.  This works for you on two levels: 1. they get exercise and 2. they get some of that amazing energy out of their little systems!  It’s the next best thing to them sharing it!  LOL.  Through six great chapters your kids will be encouraged to get their bodies moving and their imaginations rolling.
There are fun little workouts where they teach the kids to do various exercises in a fun and very imaginative way.  I haven’t seen anything quite like it.  There are also fun little game segments and some parts that help the kids take trips in their little minds all from the safety of your livingroom using household things to encourage their creative growth such as a laundry basket boat with a broom oar!  I love that!  All the while, they are staying active physically and mentally without tearing down the house!
A little more about My Gym
My Gym opened in 1983 leading fitness for children in over 260 locations worldwide including US, Canada, China, France, Brazil and others.  They help children from 6 weeks old to 13 years old develop the necessary skills to become healthy young adults.  They even have a My Gym show called ‘My Gym at Home’ that airs on BabyFirst TV so you can get a taste of their workouts.  I really think the little ones will enjoy it!

My Raz Baby Pacifier Review

Binky’s are one of the most prevalent baby necessities for almost every family.  From as young as 4 weeks old, sometimes even younger, babies have their binky.  Binkies come by many names: pacifier, peacemaker, and (according to thesaurasize which I had never heard before) there are 102 that they know of.  My personal favorite is the plug.  That’s what I call them.  They plug up that crying pretty quickly!
There is that bad side to binkys, you know, when the kids learn to throw it!  It’s amazing how it helps them learn motor development, but it’s still not a fun game.  Goes something like this: binky gets thrown, Mommy gets binky, wash binky, give binky back, binky gets thrown, repeat.  While the only way I know to stop that game is to clip them on the baby, those things get lost and things happen.  What if you could modify the game a bit to your favor…  For example: binky gets thrown, Mommy gets binky, wash binky, give binky back, repeat.  I know, germs are evil, we must keep as many as possible from our little ones so I’ve got a product for ya: Keep-it-Kleen Pacifiers made by RaZ baby.

The important stuff:

  • made for babies from 0 to 36 months
  • closes when dropped
  • BPA free
  • built in shields to keep them clean when they hit the floor

Baby Comfy Nose Nasal Aspirator

Hey everyone…  Don’t know if you’ve ever seen the baby nose sucker thingies but I can say that if you have you know that the concept is disgusting!  Here is a new one that isn’t nearly as bad!  Check out the details!  I’d love to hear some baby tips to put in some baby books I’m making.  😀

If you’ve ever used a bulb or battery-type aspirator to clear the mucus out of your little one’s nose, you’ve probably said to yourself: “There has to be a better way!” Well, we just found a better way and it’s called the BabyComfyNose Nasal Aspirator. Here’s the amazing part (or gross part – depending on your perspective) it uses your own suction. And that’s why it’s superior to standard aspirators. Think about it: your own lungs are a really strong and natural vacuum cleaner – much more powerful than a tiny bulb or battery-powered motor. And the result is just a more effective method of clearing your baby’s sinuses.

But have no fear; you won’t suck boogies into your mouth because of the design of the receptacle and the tissue filter that you insert into the body of the aspirator. This is why pediatricians are recommending BabyComfyNose to moms and dads. Recently, Dr. Sears of The Doctors TV Show recommended the BabyComfyNose as the best way to clear babies’ noses. Take a look at the video ‘How to Use the BabyComfyNose’ here www.babycomfynose.com to see how well it works. The folks at BabyComfyNose are also offering a 20%-off coupon. Top Ten Children’s Books From E. L. Adams

This top 10 was brought to you by author E. L. Adams.
Top Ten Children’s Books
1.      Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne – a classic from my childhood, and the first book I remember my parents reading aloud to me.
2.       The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame – another classic. I loved the TV show, too.
3.       The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson – I was quite a bit older when this came out, but it’s the sort of thing I’d have adored when I was little. It’s a really clever story with a great rhyme scheme – great for reading aloud!
4.      The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling – goes without saying, really!
5.      Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll – Carroll is a genius. A mad genius, admittedly, but the Alice books are fantastic.
6.      Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the BFG, Matilda…pretty much all of Roald Dahl’s books!
7.      Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney – these books are hilarious. They’re cleverly illustrated with appeal to kids of all ages, and I’m unashamed to say I enjoy them even at the age of 21!
8.      How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell
9.      The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan
10.  The Cat in the Hat by Dr Seuss – another classic!
The Puppet Spell

Unlike her rebellious sister Lucinda, fifteen-year-old Lexa prefers to spend her free time playing video games, fighting the forces of evil with her partner-in-crime Marlon. But when Lucinda steals an invisibility potion from their uncle’s storeroom, she unleashes chaos into their lives. Lexa and Marlon find themselves catapulted into a world far more dangerous than any video game, full of misleading illusions, sinister Conjurors and deadly Fey, and threatened by a man with a grudge known as the Puppeteer. Accompanied only by Lexa’s uncle’s unreliable (and rather dangerous) Chimera, Lexa and Marlon must navigate this world to find Lucinda- before they too fall under the spell of the puppet master…

Author E.L. Adams

Emma is a 21-year-old author from Birmingham, UK. When she isn’t reading voraciously, studying, or taking every opportunity to travel, she can be found in front of her writing desk.

Having aspired to be a writer since the age of ten, Emma aims to give life to her (admittedly bizarre) daydreams, through creating weird and wonderful alternative worlds. Her debut novel THE PUPPET SPELL, published in January 2013 by Rowanvale Books, is a fantasy tale for young adults and the young at heart, inspired by her lifelong love of traditional fantasy, mythology, and video games.

When not living the crazy life of an English Literature with Creative Writing student at Lancaster University, Emma reluctantly resides in the attic in her parents’ house in Birmingham. Local rumour is that she is working on a dark fantasy series for mature young adults featuring demons and other assorted night terrors.

Birthday Chronicle Review

Hey Everyone!  I recently got to review the Birthday Chronicle by ‘Because I Tried It‘.  They are really cute, but not quite what I expected!  I had an issue printing it and had to do it multiple times to get my print to be able to print to a decent size frame.  The file wanted to cut itself in two.  I’m hoping the lovely and talented author finds a fix for that!  In order to get mine to print properly, I simply made the printer shrink it to fit one page!  😀

As for content, it was cute.  It wasn’t made for history buffs, simply for novelty purposes.  But then, of course it is for novelty!  Chief Zoo Keeper is a history buff, so I really think he would have liked one that was more realistic!  I think it wold be cool if it had an ad on the page from the year chosen, but I could see how difficult it would be to add that in without offending someone.
Delivery was quick and efficient.  It was received in a couple of days.  I was impressed with the time it took to get back to me!  My order was sent within 3 days.  Since it arrives via email, you can get vintage or off white paper at Hobby Lobby or wherever you shop to get a more realistic newspaper print color!  Frame that puppy up and you’ve got a great birthday gift!
I love that this can be used to get our kids involved in reading the news!  It also inspires an interest in history!  For example, making a game out of what happened that day in history!  Great for both boys and girls!
As you can guess, I really like the birthday chronicle!  It’s something different and personal.  It would be great for scrapbooks or putting in a frame on the wall!  A great personalized gift for anyone, at anytime!
To stay up to date with the products she’s got going, you can subscribe to her newsletter here, follow on twitter, or check her out on facebook!  Gotta love technology!  😀

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
